Summary of Research Activities

The STEPS project began with a research phase to better understand Early School Leaving (ESL) in Italy, Spain, and Greece. Through desk research and focus groups, partners mapped ESL rates, examined its causes and impacts, identified policy gaps, and gathered insights from educators, students, and stakeholders.

These findings formed the evidence base for the STEPS Handbook: Preventing Early School Leaving – Strategies, Best Approaches and Guidelines.
